#CIFW is a theatre company driven by young people in North West Wales.
They meet weekly to:
- Create, produce and share theatre alongside the most dynamic professional artists.
- Develop their unique artistry through skill-sharing workshops and masterclasses with leading theatre makers.
- Visit innovative theatres across the UK, to experience the most relevant and bold theatre out there.
- Play a pivotal part in Frân Wen’s decision making, programming and governance.
The work of the Young Company feeds into our artistic programme.
This year we are looking for three companies, with spaces for 20 in each company.
CIFW 1 (yr6 - yr7) - an introduction to various theatre skills, with an informal sharing at the end of term.
CIFW 2 (yr8 - yr10) - developing new work, leading to sharing a piece-in-development at our Sgratsh event.
CIFW 3 (yr11 - yr13 / aged 16-18) - co-create a theatre production with professional artists.
Young Company 1, 2 and 3 programme is supported by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
EXAMPLES OF THEIR WORK
Devised and performed by an ensemble of young people coming out of lockdown, this digital theatrical experience is about the human obsession with wanting more, seizing power and pushing boundaries to extremes.
