Saturday 21 June
Where: Across North Wales
The procession will weave its way from deep beneath the mountains to the shores of the sea - a powerful journey that starts in the Eryri slate quarries and ends at the beaches of Llandudno. Along the way, young people will carry a piece of art - full of legends, history, culture and mythology.
The performance will open Mostyn's summer exhibition, co-curated with Jeremy Deller. Central to the show are new commissions by five young artists from Wales - Esyllt Angharad Lewis, Gweni Llwyd, Lewis Prosser, Llŷr Evans and Sadia Pineda Hameed - who respond to the central sites and themes. The works will be shown alongside selections from the National Museum of Wales, Llandudno Museum and Storiel, as well as work by Jeremy Deller.
