Our Young Company: Writing progamme is an excellent opportunity for young people between 16 and 21 years old to develop as theatre writers of the future.
The crew meets monthly to:
- Develop story creation and scripting skills in the company of Gethin Evans (Artistic Director of Frân Wen) and Elgan Rhys (Head of Engagement at Frân Wen)
- Receive mentorship from professional writers
- Write an original script
- Work towards sharing a taste of their idea publicly
This programme is part of our Young Company family, which also includes Young Company: Tech and our flagship Frân Wen Young Company, which focuses on performance.
WHEN?
The crew meets once a month between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesdays with some additional days. Click on this link for a list of all the dates.
We ask for a commitment to all dates, with very little flexibility possible depending on circumstances.
WHERE?
Nyth, Garth Road, Bangor, LL57 2RW
COST?
£100 for the year (can be paid in installments of £25 a term).

The Young Writing Company is held through the medium of Welsh and we welcome new Welsh speakers. We will provide support to help members feel confident.
