Wellbeing Studio Weekends

Come and experience a weekend full of creativity, connection and self-care at The Wellbeing Studio.

The creative sessions with performers, artists, writers, and musicians have been designed to help deal with anxiety, low confidence and loneliness.

The weekends are part of The Wellbeing Studio project which offers a welcoming space for young adults aged 18–30 to take part in creative sessions.

Two full days of activities

The weekends will be facilitated by professional artists, including Casi Wyn, Mirain Fflur, Robin Edwards, Mari Gwent, and Elgan Rhys.

The informal sessions are free and take place at Nyth, Garth Road, Bangor.

The sessions will be run bilingually in Welsh and English.

The Wellbeing Studio is a partnership between Frân Wen and Cyngor Gwynedd Community Arts, with support from Bodnant Surgery Bangor and Bangor University's Student Wellbeing Department.

Robin Edwards

Robin Edwards

Robin is an electronic music producer, and sound artist.

He releases music under the name R.Seiliog and collaborates with the BFI on film scoring and animation projects; composing for contemporary dance works, theatre, and our sound design for technology.


Recently he has been collaborating with Helmholtz scientists on a polar and marine climate research project - composing with environmental recordings from the Arctic.

Mirain Fflur

Mirain Fflur

Mirain is an actor from Nefyn. She has collaborated with Frân Wen, The National Theatre of Wales, Sky Arts, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, Bara Caws, Theatr Clwyd and Dundee Rep to name a few.

Adding to her list of diverse skills, Mirain is a director, writer, visual artist and theatre-maker having graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art’s MA in acting and devising. She is currently developing her first full-length play, Slaughtered. Mirain is driven to make accessible, immersive theatre and create spaces of healing and education that amplify the smallest voice in the room.

Mari Gwent

Mari Gwent

Mari is a multi-media community artist who specialises in creating three-dimensional props, sculptures and murals. She is inspired to develop ideas while creatively collaborating with communities of all ages and backgrounds.

She is completely passionate about developing the strong link between creativity and wellbeing, as a result of working on a number of art projects for the benefit of the health and well-being of individuals and their communities.

Casi Wyn

Casi Wyn

Casi is a singer and songwriter from Bangor. She was the Children's Laureate Wales in 2021 - 2023. She has composed music for the BBC National Orchestra in Wales, Sinfonia Cymru and a recent co-production between the National Dance Company of Wales and Theatr Cymru.

She led the Urdd's Message of Peace and Good Will in 2024 and her first volume of poems was published last year called Bro Prydferthwch - and more recently, her personal collection of poems, Cariad Yw. Casi is the Creative Director and founder of Codi Pais magazine.
