Praidd community cast

Community ensemble joins professional cast of show on a farm

We're delighted to announce that a community cast will be joining the professional team of Praidd this May (08-10) in Anelog, Aberdaron.

While the casting of Siôn Emyr, Carys Gwilym, Owen Arwyn, and Dewi Wykes has already been announced, we wanted to make this production truly extraordinary. To do that, we have invited some of the Pen Llŷn's most familiar faces and voices to step onto the stage (the farmyard!!) with us.

Who's joining the team?

The voices of our community cast will echo across the fields of Anelog as members of Côr Meibion Carnguwch join performers from Cwmni Drama Llwyndyrys, Cwmni Drama Llangian, and members of Frân Wen’s Young Company.

Having these community voices adds a powerful layer to the production. It allows us to create an ensemble that brings the landscape of Anelog to life in a way that goes far beyond traditional theatre.
Elis Pari, Praidd Creative Director

Why is this important?

For director Elis Pari, it was essential that the community remained at the heart of the drama. Praidd (08–10 May) is a story about the land, inheritance, and the future of farming. Who better to tell that story than the people who live and work here every day?

Tickets for Praidd are available here.
