48 hour window to join

Opens this Friday night.

From the streets of Bangor to a Friday night in Maes. From stage to screen. This is no ordinary youth theatre.

CIFW 1 + 2

We have two groups who meet every Monday night. CIFW 1 (yrs 8 - 10) meet 5pm - 6.30pm and CIFW 2 (yrs 11 - 13/16-18 old) meet between 7pm - 9pm.

WINDOW

The 48 hour recruitment window will open 7pm on Friday, 12 January 2024 and close 7pm on Sunday 14 January 2024.

WHAT WILL I DO

Led by professional artists, you’ll explore a range of stories, make shows, develop new ideas and nurture skills in theatre making.

MORE THAN JUST ACTING

Making theatre is much more than actors on stage. You might be interested in:

  • Lighting
  • Sound
  • Design
  • Writing
  • Composing

You'll also get an insight into the company's professional productions, take part in master-classes, go on trips to see world-class productions, and influence all aspects of Frân Wen's work by being represented on our Youth Panel and Management Board.

The work of the Young Company feeds into our artistic programme.

HOW?

The recruitment window is now closed until September 2024.

COST

Running CIFW comes at a pretty big cost, we subsidise this heavily from a range of funders but we need a bit of help from those taking part.

We are asking for a contribution of £2.50 per session, or £25 a term.

Frân Wen Young Company is open to everyone, and we don’t want the cost to get in anybody’s way. So please get in touch if you would like to discuss our bursary programme.

WHERE

The sessions will happen in Nyth, our new home in Bangor.
