Cyn Iddi Nosi
New Production: Frân Wen Young Company 3 presents Cyn Iddi Nosi at Nyth
As the world pushes them to the edge, three young people seek refuge in a fevered dream, discovering the strength to imagine something new and defiant.
Frân Wen Young Company 3 (ages 16–25) proudly presents Cyn Iddi Nosi (Before Nightfall), an original production that celebrates their imagination, creativity and bold ideas as they discover the power of dreaming and imagining new possibilities.
Blending the voices of our young people with choreography and music, Cyn Iddi Nosi, is co-created by the Young Company, with words by Nia Morais and Hedydd Ioan, directed by Elgan Rhys, music by Sam Humphreys, choreography by Eli Williams and lighting by Jeannette Baxter.

Writing for Cyn Iddi Nosi was a thrilling experience. The creative atmosphere in the room is always electric, and it’s been incredible to see how the young people have brought those words to life.Hedydd Ioan, Cyn Iddi Nosi co-writer
One member of the cast, 17-year-old Non Humphreys from Nefyn, has had an unforgettable experience in the rehearsal room:

It has been a special period, from collaborating with Hedydd and Nia on the script - sharing experiences and messages we want to share with the audience - to working with Eli to create visuals for what we are doing and want to say.Non Humphreys, Cyn Iddi Nosi cast member
Inspired by Mared Llywelyn’s stage adaptation of Wythnos yng Nghymru Fydd, Cyn Iddi Nosi tackles the vulnerability of hope in a chaotic world. The characters fear waking up to see their visions disappear, posing the central, haunting question: So why dream at all?

Nia Morais, co-writer, adds:
I’ve really enjoyed exploring the themes of dreams and imagination with the Young Company. Writing parts of the play collaboratively with Hedydd has been an inspiring experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing the whole show.Nia Morais, Cyn Iddi Nosi co-writer
