Open call for young performers

Be part of something truly special.

We’re looking for 15 young people between 16 and 25 years old for a one-of-a-kind live event at this year’s Maes B.

Popeth ar y Ddaear is a one night only production that will invite audiences to step into the chaos of a future-world.

If you're interested in performing of any kind - acting, dancing, singing or making music - don't miss this amazing free opportunity to collaborate with some of Wales' leading artists.

p.s. we’ll pay for your Maes B ticket.

DETAILS

Age: 16-25

Location: Bangor and Boduan (Pen Llŷn)

The ask: Performers to create a physical / movement / musical / vocal ensemble

Closing date: 17 April 2023

Commitment:

  • Working with directors + musicians + core actors over a series of weekends in Bangor
    (6/7 May, 27/28 May, 24/25 June and 8/9 July - times tbc)

  • Rehearsals in Bangor
    (24/07/23 - 06/08/23 - times tbc)

  • Rehearsals in Maes B
    (07/08/23 - 11/08/23 - times tbc)

APPLICATION PROCESS?

We will not hold individual auditions but instead invite everyone who is interested to a creative workshop at NYTH, Bangor between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, 23rd of April, 2023.

To declare an interest in attending please register by completing this form.

We can offer travel costs or public transport reimbursement to the workshop and rehearsals.

Unable to commit to all the dates above but keen to be part of it? We’ll be looking for another 100 young people to join the project during the Eisteddfod week! Watch this space…
