Historic Bangor church to open doors to allow public to view creative hub plans.

We’re about to transform the grade II listed former St Mary’s Church in Bangor into an arts, culture and community hub dedicated to young people.

The site on Garth Road, will be opened up on Thursday, July 29 to give the public the opportunity to see the plans for the new centre.

The plans for the building will be displayed at the open day and will include a large state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal space, a smaller cellar studio, office space and flexible gathering spaces.

“We understand how important this building is for the local community so It’s really important to us that people have the opportunity to see the building before the work starts to get a sense of the transformation planned,” said Nia Jones, our Executive Director.
